ENTRY/REGISTRATION DATES

All entries must be made through Horse Sport Pro

Club vaulters should enter as a group through their Club or Entries Manager

Independent Vaulters can enter independently as their own entry group.

This competition will count as a "Colorado" competition for
Region 4 Year End Awards and EVUSA Zone 4 Awards.

 

RV Spaces

5 spaces with Hookups for water and electric are available @ $25

Additional spaces for camping or RVs available @ $15 (to cover permit fees)

You must reserve on the form and pay up front.

If you request a hookup and are not allocated a hookup, you will be refunded.

NOTE: Electric capacity will not run Air Conditioners. You may run your generators for A/C if necessary.

Special Recreational and Exhibition Vaulting Classes:

  • Fun Fest - For new vaulters or those wanting to compete at non-recognized levels. 

  • Musical interpretation classes: judged solely on artistic content with placings and ribbons.

  • Demo/Developmental classes are also offered at all levels:

    • Individual, Pairs, Squads

    • Enter Comps, freestyle, and/or tech test individually; right or left. 

    • May cross enter/enter multiple times

  • Demo (Exhibition) Classes are for those who want to perform without competition. Receive scores from judges with no ribbons or placings.

  • Developmental Classes are for training of vaulter and/or horse. Receive scores from judges with no placings/ribbons. 

CLASS SPONSORSHIPS

Class sponsorships are $250 Per Class for USEF classes and $100 per class for all other classes, and include all sections of a class (i.e. Comps, FS, Tech).

Individuals, farms, clubs and companies are invited to sponsor a class!

Class sponsorships may be named as per specified on this form, which may include language such as "in memory of ..." a specific horse, for instance, or a farm name, or club name, or family name, or corporation or company name.

Sponsors receive the following benefits:

For Each class:

  • Sponsor name, as designated by sponsor, listed on the Class Schedule and read by announcer when announcing the class and at awards.

  • Sponsor logo or Sponsor Name will be included on a flyer included in all competitor and volunteer packets and

  • Sponsor logo on flyer posted in barns and at the show office.

2 or more classes: All of above plus

  • Sponsor logo published on website with an embedded link to company, club or other website and

  • Sponsor P.A. Announcement to be read twice a day.


 

SPECIAL MERIT AWARDS

We also will again run our popular end of show special merit awards:

  • Sportsmanship Award

  • Horse Ambassador Award

  • Lunger Merit Award

Individuals at the competition can nominate others for these awards, and then the Competition Committee votes on the winners based on the nominations. 

Sportsmanship Award:  

The purpose of this award is to give recognition to those of our members who embody the qualities of good sportsmanship. This recipient may be a vaulter, volunteer, coach, lunger, or trainer. Additionally, the recipient must: Abide by the EVUSA Region IV Sportsman Pledge; Demonstrate an ongoing commitment and dedication to the promotion of equestrian sport; Serve as a positive role model for peers; Exhibit characteristics that exemplify positive both sportsmanship and horsemanship principles.

Horse Ambassador Award:  

Colorado State Summer Vaulting Fest will recognize one horse with this award based on the following criteria: 1) Horse is turned out at the highest level in terms of grooming, braiding, and overall cleanliness of equipment; 2) Horse is handled with highest level of care; 3) Horse demonstrates exceptional manners and good behavior; 4) Horse has high level of "vaultability" delivering solid vaulting rounds for vaulters. Competition horse scores may be used as one of the determining criteria. The horse who wins this award should be a model representative of an exceptional vaulting horse, featuring a combination of fitness, manners, turn out, vault ability, and athletic ability.

Lunger Merit Award:

One lunger will be awarded the CSSVF Lunger of Merit award. This award will be based primarily on the lunger scores from the A3 categories of Freestyle and Technical Test score cards. Top 3 scores will be used along with a category for overall presentation of lunger as determined by show committee.  Overall presentation includes: Turn out of lunger, courteousness in the warm-up arena, overall qualities of sportsmanship and horsemanship.

Each winner will receive a custom grooming tote or similar item donated by HamptonBuilt, hand crafted by Jeffrey Hampton. 

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

FRIDAY

10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Horses may arrive on the show grounds.

10:00 a.m. - dark - Outdoor arena available for riding and general lungeing.

2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Office Open for Coaches Check In

5:30 p.m. We take possession of the Indoor Arena - Arena Set up - Arena open for hand walking.

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. General warm-up in Indoor Arena (or when arena is ready)

SATURDAY

7:30 - 8:00 a.m. Warm-up classes

8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Horse classes 

Barrel classes Saturday 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. either after horse classes or in separate arena space

SUNDAY

8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Horse classes 

Awards ceremony 30 minutes after last class.

 

NOTE: Schedule is subject to change until the entry lock date of June 25, 2026.

Then, there will only be minor changes after Entry Lock.

Always plan to be ready at least 1 hour prior to the original timing of the go. 

 

REMINDER: All USEF Vaulters, coaches, Lungers and boosters must have a current USEF competing membership and
must be up to date on Safe Sport Training.

Releases/Waivers are due June 7

​​​These waivers are required and available through HorseSportPro. Coaches/Entry Managers should send links to all waivers to all of their participants through HorseSport.Pro. Hard copies are available here if needed, and may be emailed by June 7 to ascentvaulting@gmail.com.

A late paperwork fee may be charged if waivers are not submitted by June 7.

Horse Health Forms

Horses coming from out of state (such as Colorado) will
need the following:

Current (within 30 days) health certificate 

Carry your brand certificates with you

All Horses will need:

Negative Coggins Test for Equine Influenza Virus

Equine Herpesvirus vaccination within 6 months

NOTE: Where arena says: B.W. Pickett - this is now the Indoor at LCCC. Adams-Atkinson will be where we decid to hold the barrel competition. It may also be in the main indoor at LCCC.

Each club should try to pick up at least one to two jobs per vaulter entered.

Volunteers should check in at the Volunteer Table by Concessions stand at least 15 minutes prior to shift. If you have to cancel your volunteer shift, your CLUB will be responsible for finding your replacement.
